2010 Programme
Pierre Aumonier Memorial Concert
NFO will be presenting the Pierre Aumonier Memorial Concert at the Royal Theatre Northampton on Saturday 23 January 2010 commencing at 7.30pm
This concert is not intended to be a sad occasion, but will be a celebration of Pierre's life and his love of opera, and in particular his outstanding work in the management and administration of Northampton Festival Opera. The programme will consist of a selection of arias and choruses from well known operas and operettas that were particular favourites of his, including The Pearl Fishers duet, The Easter Hymn (Cavalleria Rusticana) and One Fine Day (Madam Butterfly).
Four guest international soloists, who have all sung with NFO in the past, will head up the cast, Marilyn Hill Smith, Alison Roddy, Charles Johnston and Tom Raskin, together with the Chorus of NFO, under the baton of our Chorus director and accompanist Robert Challinor, and the evening will be compered by Artistic Director Tom Hawkes, who has directed many of our previous productions.
